Take part in Santi’s latest venture, a shared social-table concept, mixing tradition with new and different styles as he hosts intimate chef’s tables, creating menus that are seasonal and produce-driven. The venue will be revealed the morning of the event.
Born in Cee, a small village in Galicia, North Western Spain, Santi Louzan grew up surrounded by the best produce, learning from generations of artisans. His passion for food and cooking began at a young age, with encouragement from his mother and grandmother. He later moved to England, where he spent 18 years working in Michelin Star establishments around the UK and Europe. After falling in love with The Mother City while on Holiday, he and his wife decided to move to Cape Town 3 years ago.
Santi’s initial culinary venture in Cape Town was Little Saint, a successful restaurant in the heart of Cape Town. Eventually, he decided he wanted to add a more personal touch, thus starting Chef’s Table Cape Town. Using his Michelin background, he creates food that is beautiful to look at as well as to eat.
Behold as Chef Santi passionately and meticulously prepares and plates 7-Courses in front of you, introducing each course and sharing the story of the inspiration behind it.
The menu will include:
Welcome drink: Graham Beck MCC
Filo spoon, curried sweet potato puree with Spanish red pepper canape
Chorizo, potato salad with parsley dressing and garlic mayo
Crayfish Thermidor with apple ash and lemon zest
Fruit cocktail mouth cleanser
Spiced beef loin with cauliflower puree, sauteed potato, assortment of mushrooms, red wine jus and truffle cream

Santi also brings an element of fun, inviting his guests to join him on this leg of his culinary journey from his Spanish roots, Michelin experiences, pub fare, family home cooking to current trends. He combines classic with modern techniques for his Chef’s Table- the perfect example of rustic fine-dining food, created with soul and expertise, delivered in an unpretentious, homely fashion.
